Patricia Ann Fox, 92, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday March 1st, 2025. She was born in Sacramento, California in 1932, to Robert and Margareta Foster. In 1939 she moved to her beloved city of San Diego. Eventually, while working as an accountant at Cubic Corporation, she met the love of her life, George Fox, AKA “The Silver Fox”, whom she married in 1979.
Throughout her life, Patricia exhibited a tangible, peaceful, presence. Everywhere she went, she filled the room with smiles and laughter. While life presents us all many challenges, none of the many in her path could stop Patricia. She was the matriarch of our family, a serene pillar of strength. Having overcome cancer twice, broken bones, heart issues, and a plethora of other trials, she was, down to her bones, a survivor.
In each home in our family, you will find at least one piece of Patricia’s needlework. Be it a quilt, a cross-stitched coaster, a scarf, an ornament, or even a crocheted blanket. This pastime was one of the later additions. In her earlier years, she played golf, bowled 250 games, whomped everybody at the bridge table, and tirelessly cheered on the San Diego Padres and Chargers. She and George even followed the Padres around the country a number of baseball seasons. Their love of travelling together took them all over the world, even as far away as Tokyo, Japan.
Loving wife, mother, sister, honored grandmother, “Auntie Pat”, “Memow”, “Mama Pat” “Bones” “Bubby”, a storyteller, an advisor, a confidante, and a lighthouse in every storm. Memow is remembered and missed by us all. The lifetime worth of memories with or about her will eternally bless and fill our hearts. While we all feel the pang of her departure, and our desire to reunite with her, we remain assured of our inevitable, and blessed reunion.
The legacy she left behind continues to grow, in the form of her children and grandchildren. Patricia was predeceased by her husband George Fox, her son Stephen Floyd, and her grandson Delaney Floyd. She is survived by her daughters Diana Farrow (Lyman Kline) and Kathleen Floyd; grandson Forest (Daniel) Floyd, granddaughters Stephanie Greenwood (Christopher), Shelby Bullington (David); great grandchildren, Lily, Gavin, and Evie; Daughter in law Lynn Gordon (Tony).
Patricia will be interred together with her beloved husband George on Thursday March 6th, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery off I-20 in Canton. Officiated by Rabbi Hayyim Kassorla.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to their GoFundMe to assist with funeral expenses. https://gofund.me/5abfaf3e
