Peter Andral David Smith

Peter Andral David Smith was born in St. Andrew, Jamaica on December 10th, 1961 to Lloyd and Cicely Smith. He was affectionately called "Bear" by close friends. He grew up in Harbor View where he attended St Mark's Methodist Church and was a member of the River Reef Football Club. He attended Harbour View Primary School and Wolmer's High School. He later migrated to East Orange, New Jersey and then relocated to Kennesaw, Georgia.

On December 13, 2014 Peter married Paula Barnett Smith. They enjoyed walks in the park, playing lawn tennis, ping pong, jacks, Uno and watching TV - but what Peter and Paula did best was produce music. Peter spent most of his time, outside of work, in his home recording studio which he built himself. His passion for music was shared with Paula and they collaborated on many songs with Peter on instruments and Paula on vocals. They made beautiful music together. Peter was an exceptionally talented and gifted musician, engineer and producer. Although He played various instruments, his first love was the bass. He was a member of Acworth Grace Fellowship Church where he served on the worship team regularly playing bass. Peter and his son Todd also shared this love for music. Peter's second love was food. He was an amazing chef with incredible cooking skills that came effortlessly. His finger-licking jerk chicken and oxtail dinners will be remembered for years to come. His third love was sports. If he was not at work, in the studio or cooking, you would find him in front of the television watching football, basketball or track and field.

Peter was fun-loving and hard working with a great sense of humor. He loved the Lord and enjoyed sharing the Word through messages sent to friends and family.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents and sister Stephanie Ealey-Smith. He is survived by his wife Paula, son Todd, step-daughter Brittney, sisters Karen Roper and Bridget Newman and a host of relatives, friends and his church family.

Bear was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
