We just want to express our thanks to everyone who called, texted, came and sent flowers for Richard. We are shaken but so thankful for the time we had here with him. To know Richard was to love him and love him we did.

I remember every year at the Bennett Family Christmas he would ask all the kids how they were and take time for them. He always seemed to make me smile when I was down. He will be missed.

We will never forget the fun times we had camping, the campfire wars between Joe and Richard, all the s’mores we ate, and simply just laughing together.  
He and Missy took Joe and I to a Braves game... just because.  
We loved him very much and we will truly miss him. 
We are thankful to have counted him our friend.

My heart breaks to hear of the sad news of Richard passing.
I worked with Richard for years. When my dad was sent home to be in hospice, Richard came and prayed with him and our family. Richard did not have to do that but he did and it meant so much to me and my family.  That was just Richard being his kind and humble self. 
Richard loved His God and His Family.
We have all been Blessed by Richard's genuine Love for God and His Family.  He was such a Blessing to so many.

Spent this last October at Camp Stevens with Richard at Harrisville New Hampshire.
 Spent 4 days closing up camp for the New England winter. We had a great time and relished our days together. We had made several trips to Lobster Boat resteraunt at Richard's request.  We winterized the camp and had a memorable time. I will cherish our time together, forever.  He worked along side me as we closed the shutters and cut off water.  What a great trip.

I am so heartbroken to hear of this terrible news. Bro. Richard was such a blessing to our church and my family when he was our pastor. He by far was the most humble man I’ve ever known. I’m so sorry you are having to go through this. We have been praying consistently since we heard. We have great memories of Bro. Richard and all of you Melissa, Andrew and Becca. I love you all dearly!♥️

May God be your comfort at this difficult and confusing time.   I had the pleasure of meeting Richard several times at Wildwood.   He was always friendly and seemed like a kind man.   I know he will be deeply missed.   Please reach out if there is anything I can do to help.

He was the best boss I ever had, his patience for work, patience, love, and compassion showed me what it is to be a child of God. I will miss him and his knowledge I will never forget.

I'm so sorry to the entire Barnes family for your loss and offer my condolences.  I mainly knew Richard through work, however, from the time that I've spent with him and talked to him over the years, I always found him to be a true gentleman, trustworthy, and a joy to be around.   I will miss him and can only wish you peace for the fond memories that I'm sure you all have of him.
