

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Ann Circle; children, Marc Lee Circle, Sheri Lynn Parker, David Alan Circle & wife Jana, and Ann Marie Elliott & husband Rob; grandchildren, Josh Parker & wife Chelsea, Bobby Parker & wife Kami, Andrew Patrick Circle, Natalie Circle, Shelby Parker and Ayden Elliott; great-grandchildren, Jackson Lee Parker, Oliver Parker, and Mila Belle Parker; and many nieces & nephews. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Lee & Dorothy Circle; brother, David Edison Circle; and twin sister, Barbara Lynn Tomashoff.
He lived a life filled with service, dedication, and love. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army, earning an honorable discharge after 2 years of devoted service. After his military career, he pursued his passion for knowledge and education, earning a master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from both Kansas State University and Wichita State University. His professional journey led him to a distinguished career as an aerospace engineer at Lockheed Martin, where he dedicated 40 years of his life to advancing the field. In addition to his technical accomplishments, Richard’s love for learning never ceased. After retirement, he embarked on new educational ventures, becoming a financial planner and sharing his expertise with others. His passion for knowledge extended to writing, and he authored four books—some chronicling the stories of his family, while others delved into the complexities of aeronautics. His literary contributions remain a testament to his intellectual curiosity and commitment to sharing wisdom.
Richard’s heart belonged to his wife, Ruth Ann Circle, who was both his best friend and the love of his life. Together, they shared 64 beautiful years filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Richard was a man of unwavering dedication, not only to his career and passions but to his family. He cherished every moment with his children, grandchildren, and loved ones, making each day special with his warmth, guidance, and fatherly love. An avid tennis and golf player, Richard was well known for his competitive spirit and winning several awards throughout the years. He enjoyed staying active and found great joy in the camaraderie of his sports, but his greatest joy came from traveling with Ruth Ann and creating lasting memories with his family.
Those who knew Richard will remember him for his hardworking nature, his sincerity, and his intense love for those he held dear. A good provider, a loving father, and a dedicated husband, Richard lived a life filled with purpose, never wavering in his commitment to those he loved. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Richard leaves behind a family who will forever treasure the memories of the incredible man he was—a husband, father, grandfather, friend, and patriot. He will be deeply missed, but his impact on this world will never be forgotten.
