Robert L. Kimble, 82, of Marietta, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013. Graveside service will be held Monday, September 30, 2pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with Dr. Marcy Hardy officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Down Syndrome Society, http://goo.gl/hR1igA, in memory of Robert.
Mr. Kimble was a pilot all his working career beginning his training in the US Air Force from 1952 to 1962 obtaining the rank of First Lieutenant and later becoming an airline pilot for Eastern Airlines from 1956 – 1987 where he retired as a Captain
Those whom survive Mr. Kimble are his son – Robert L. Kimble, Jr. and wife Tracy of Kennesaw; daughter – Jennifer and husband Jay Clark of Acworth; grandchildren – Maddie, Olivia, Tripp, Abby, and Ella. His sister Peggy Manley of TN also survives.
The Family will be receiving friends on Monday, September 30 from 10am until 11:30am at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw.
