Robert Raymond Korf

He graduated from C.W. Post College in Brookville, New York and worked as a manager for Western Electric Company.

Robert enjoyed golfing and was an active member in the Golden K Kiwanis Chapter in Marietta for 20 years and Wilmington, NC for 20 years. He was also a volunteer firefighter in Albertson, New York. However, nothing could top his love of baseball. He was an avid Braves fan once he moved to Georgia. Robert also coached little league for several years and worked with the Babe Ruth Children’s League in Greenlawn, New York.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Korf and Helen Abramowski Korf and four siblings.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Diane Krumholz Korf; sons, Andrew, Michael, Steven, and Thomas; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Trinity Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Robert in his final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 7th, at 11:00 AM. Visitation with the family will begin at 10AM – 2PM on Tuesday, May 6th at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.

Interment to follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton on Wednesday, May 7th at 2:30 PM.
