

Tim graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He served in the U.S. Air Force and most recently worked as an Automation Engineer for Siemens. Tim was well respected both personally and professionally, and is often described as genuinely selfless, known for helping numerous family members and friends through tough times. He was a true engineer, knowledgeable and clever, who liked fixing things around the house and helping others with their projects. In his spare time, Tim enjoyed golfing, fishing, reading sci-fi books and watching old westerns with his wife, Debbie. He also enjoyed quality time with his children, whether it was coaching their childhood basketball and baseball teams, winning corn hole tournaments together, or letting them occasionally win a game of darts. Tim was known for his intelligence, easy-going personality and driven attitude. He impacted many lives through his words of wisdom and valuable friendship.
Tim Hurtt will be reunited with his parents, Thomas Edward Hurtt Sr. and Elizabeth Margaret Hurtt; and sister, Jeni Hurtt. He leaves to cherish in his memory, loving wife of 34 years, Debbie Hurtt; sons, Ryan Hurtt and his wife Amanda, Tyler Hurtt and his significant other Megan, Cody McKinley and his wife Andrea; daughter, Andrea Moore; siblings, Dave Hurtt, Joe Hurtt, Andy Hurtt, Larry Hurtt, Thomas (“Gator”) Hurtt, Herb Hurtt; and grandchildren, Tanner Moore, Peyton Moore, Lainey Moore, Brodie Moore, Rawly McKinley and Marli McKinley.
The family of Tim Hurtt will receive friends for a gathering on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. A memorial service to honor his life will follow at 3:00 PM. Tim will go to his final resting place at the Georgia National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Timothy’s memory may be made to American Cancer Society, Wounded Warrior Project, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
