Tony Lee Grizzle

Tony Lee Grizzle, 62, of Adairsville, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 16, at First United Lutheran Church in Kennesaw with Pastor Tony Prinsen officiating beginning at 10 am. Burial will follow the service at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens in Acworth.

A lifelong Georgia resident, Tony served our country honorably in the US Army during Vietnam and awarded the Air Medal. He was a member of Sugar Valley Baptist Church and worked for Atlantic Steel for 20 years. After his time in the Steel Industry, Mr. Grizzle painted for 10 years along with building fences with his son Tim. Tony was an avid fisherman and a true family man. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Sarah Grizzle.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years Kathy of Adairsville, son – Tim and wife Beth Grizzle of Douglasville, daughter – Georgia and husband Brian Johnson of Woodstock, brothers – Ricky Adams and David Pope, sisters – Judy Heaton and Tammy Lofquist, and his grandchildren – Chase, Abby, Alex, Jared, and Emma.

The family is receiving friends on Friday, January 15 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw from 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Lutheran Church, 3481 Campus Loop Rd Kennesaw, GA 30144 or to Sugar Valley Baptist Church, 3742 Sugar Valley Rd Sugar Valley, GA 30746.
