Walter "Mickey" Michael Cox

Walter "Mickey" Michael Cox, age 76, of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. He was born in Acworth, Georgia to the late Walter and Willa Dean Cox. Mickey spent all of his life in Acworth and it was truly his home.

Mickey was strong in his faith and attended Oak Hill Baptist Church for many years. Mickey was an entrepreneur and had many business ventures. He was a hard worker and owned many businesses throughout his life. Mickey enjoyed fishing as a hobby but the most important thing to him was his family, and he devoted all his time to them. Mickey was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather (Paw), great grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Mickey is survived by his wife of 56 years, Pat Cox, sons; Scott Cox (Rhonda) and Brian Cox (Aissa), brother; Bruce Cox (Sherry), grandchildren; Bradley Dean Cox (Lindsay), Justin Michael Cox (Leah), Matthew Scott Cox (Kaitlin), great grandchildren; Ryan Michael Cox, Kaylee Lynn Cox, Riley Mae Cox, Carter Nash Cox, Camden Matthew Cox, and baby to be Oaklee Elizabeth Cox.

A visitation for Mickey will be held Friday, June 9, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A second visitation will occur Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Mickey's funeral service will occur Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 1:00 pm. His burial will follow his service on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Cemetery Street, Acworth, GA 30101.
