

He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Drum and Bugle Corp.
Bill had successful careers at Lockheed, as co-owner of a house painting and paint/hobby store businesses, and store manager of several restaurant chains before retiring as a professional crafter specializing in wood working. He and Barbara traveled the southeast to trade days and seasonal fairs with their crafts, wood working, and seasonal decorations.
Bill was a member of Summit Baptist Church since 1995. He was a man of strong faith, loved reading his Bible, studying scripture, and sharing Jesus with everyone.
He leaves a legacy of determination, perseverance, hard-working and loving man. He was passionate about giving back and being a volunteer. Bill was a volunteer with Builders for Christ, a church construction mission team. Lovingly known as “Mr. Bill”, he and Barbara also served as substitutes for 13 years at North Cobb High School.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, William F. Babin, Sr. and Alice Babin; his sister Stephanie Millett; his grandson Joshua Brown.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Babin; sister Priscilla Buttram (Jim): children: Sharilyn Bainbridge (Vincent), Darilyn “Dari” Thackston (Greg), William “Billy” Babin, III (Debbie), Catherine “Cathy” Brown (Jerry), and Christopher “Chris” Babin (Michelle); grandchildren: Tyrel Walker (Lindsay), Tonya Walker, Sabrina Babin, Jeramie Brown (Chasity), Jarrod Brown (Erin), Catherine “CJ” McKellar (Brad), Brandon Babin, Christian Babin; great grandchildren: Maddux Walker, Harleigh Herring-Walker, Amelia Brown, Adalyne Brown, Maddux Brown, Shelby Babin, Ethan Babin.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held at Summit Baptist Church, 4310 Moon Station Lane, NW, Acworth, GA 30101, Monday, November 14, 2016 at 2:00PM with a meal to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
