I had the pleasure of working with Bill for many years at f2f sales solutions. He was a Gentleman indeed and always pleasant to be around. He had a moderate temperament with southern hospitality that showed in his actions and words. 

May God Bless His Soul & May God Be with all who grieve the loss of this precious soul 🙏🏿 

The Black family were our next-door neighbors on North Main Street in Kennesaw.  They lived in a large two story house next to the Baptist church where life and times were filled with adventures and antics from the 9 children.   Mr. Black ran a tight ship, and Mrs. Black was always the smiling,  joyful peacemaker trying to keep up with and account for her brood. It was nothing for several of the boys to be sitting high upon the roof top surveying the goings on around town!   We lost contact years ago,  but the years we spent as neighbors created wonderful memories.   Our parents are gone now, but we 3 Shelton brothers and our families send our sincere sympathy. 

We became neighbors about fifteen years ago in Oakland, NJ where we quickly became close friends and shared many wonderful times together.  Whether going out to dinner, going on day trips, or just a barbecue in the back yard, we always enjoyed our time together. He was always funny with a story.
We watched a lot of baseball with Bill and he was crazy about his Braves and Georgia Bulldogs.  He loved to cook and I would act as his Sous Chef many times, with a drink, music playing we would tell each other of our upbringing, our families and friends and by the end of the day solved all the worlds problems! Always generous and a great friend.  Bill and I met for dinner and drinks the day before returning to his beloved warm & sunny Georgia just a short time ago. While we were sorry to see him go, it was easy to see his excitement to be back near family and friends.  Shari and I will miss him greatly.  
See you on the other side bud, and have a Crown poured for me.

Bill Black started his career in the music business in 1971 when WEA (Warner Elektra Atlantic Records) was formed as office manager in Atlanta. He then advanced to sales rep in North and South Carolina and later return to Atlanta as regional sales manager for Atlantic Records.  Atlantic then promoted Bill to national sales manager at their corporate office in Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. During Bill career he worked with numerous major artists and was rewarded gold and platinum records from Led Zeppelin, Crosby Stills and Nash, Bette Midler, 
Rolling Stones, Stevie Nicks, Blues Brothers, Genesis, Phil Collins, Bee Gees to only name a few. Bill’s favorite place to dine and entertain was at Patsy’s Italian restaurant in midtown Manhattan.
I worked with Bill for many years in the music business and he was a special friend to both Kay and me and we shall miss him dearly.

Bill Black loved God, his family and friends. He loved life and lived it to the fullest; making each  day count. One of his most amazing qualities that we will all cherish forever is his ability to tell a story. He had the most charismatic personality that could captivate an audience no matter where he was. We are forever grateful for the time he was allowed to walk this earth and for the memories we have all been able to make with him. Although he will be greatly missed,  we know he had a calling that far exceeded his here on earth. May you rest in peace now and know we will carry you with us in our hearts.

Billy played football, wrestled, and ran track for St. Joseph High School.

Bill loved his baseball he loved the Atlanta Braves.When he got out of the navy he got an apartment in atlanta I used to go and stay some weekends with my brother Bill.I remember going to the old Atlanta Fulton County stadium to watch the Braves play it was great.when he moved to New York to work he would always keep up with Braves.I think he had to be the #1Braves Fan.

We remember the good times with Bill. Traveling to Napa California, Italy and cruising to Europe.

Bill was a navy veteran who served during the Vietnam war.Bill was on the USS Oriskany ship the day it caught fire he saved many lives that day .

Bill you will be so missed! May you Rest In Peace with the Lord!  Blessings to your family and friends.

Rita and I send our condolences and prayers. Wish we could be there with the family but it's just not possible. Billy was the biggest story teller and joke teller we had the privilege to ever meet. God Bless the Black Family.
