Mrs. Willie Christine Blackwell, age 101, of Kennesaw passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015. Mrs. Blackwell was born and raised in Nelson, GA, and was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. Not only did she love raising her own children, she was a care giver to all the children in her neighborhood, spreading love to everyone she knew.
Mrs. Blackwell is survived by her two children, George T. Blackwell of Dawsonville, GA, and June B. Bozeman of Kennesaw, GA; two grandchildren, Stacey Matthews and Wayne Goodwin; several great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015, ,1 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, with Dr. Wallace Wheeles officiating. Interment 3 pm at Yellow Creek Cemetery in Nelson, GA.
The family will receive friends Friday, May, 29 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
