Cecelia, was a beautiful, outgoing, foxy, classy, fun-loving, kind, “take no nonsense” lady, the coolest little sister who loved life, people, animals, and plants. She excelled at whatever she did but mostly at hairdressing. In her younger days, she owned a salon in Winnipeg. She used to fly out to Northern Manitoba to do hair, and they welcomed her so warmly because of how she was with people. She loved bingo, pow-wow music, and was a fantastic cook and homemaker.
Cecelia is mournfully, dearly missed, her presence is still felt. Towards the completion of her cycle of life, from infant to infant, in her final hour, minute to moment, Gaagigegiizhigook was lucid and heard the caressing, nurturing, comforting words of her loved ones and she quietly passed into that spirit realm of peace and quiet, released from the pain. The family would like to thank Cancer Care of Manitoba, Mills and Mills Funeral Home of Washington and Brown Funeral Home of Kenora, Ontario for their care and compassion.
A very special Megwetch to Iskatewizaagegan #39 Chief and Council, food preparers/servers, graveside helpers, all friends, relatives, and supporters. The family is truly grateful for their help.
Traditional service, wake, and burial is taking place at Iskatewizaagegan community center on Sunday, January 8, 2016 and burial on Monday, January 9, 2016. Pallbearers are: Jeremy Roulette, Albert J. Cook, Marcel Williamson, Alexander Williamson, Jason Williamson, Kodi Bbela, Raymond Alexander, and Malcolm Gerard.
