

David Dwayne Fraser passed away on January 5, 2026, in Iskatewizaagegan No. 39 Independent First Nation, Ontario, Canada. He was born on February 19, 1964, in Manitoba, and throughout his life, he brought dedication and quiet strength to the places he called home.
David made Shoal Lake 39 his home after moving there with his partner, Deborah Letander. Together, they built a life rooted in companionship and shared purpose. David found joy in being beside Deborah and took pleasure in doing things together—whether around the house or within the community.
Known for his industrious spirit, David was always keeping busy. Whether working on projects at home or lending a hand in the community, he remained active and engaged. His presence was felt by those around him through his willingness to help wherever he could.
David’s contributions to Shoal Lake 39 reflected a deep sense of belonging and commitment. He embraced the community as his own and gave of himself generously through action and effort.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. A visitation will be held at the Shoal Lake 39 Community Hall on January 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the Shoal Lake 39 Community Hall on January 10, 2026 at 12:00 pm with burial to follow.
