It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dawnna Rae Kozak on Saturday, April 21, 2012.
Left to forever cherish Dawnna's memory are her son Charles Kozak, mother and father Irene and John Kozak, sister Terri (Don), brother John Jr. (Sandy and daughter Jolene), and many aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends.
Dawnna was born on November 17, 1959 in Port Arthur, Ontario where she spent her childhood years making many friends and good memories. At age 13 her family moved to Kenora where Dawnna spent most of her remaining years. She attended and graduated Beaver Brae High School. Dawnna was a hard worker and held various jobs, but her career path led her to Red River Community College to attain her meat cutter/butcher certificate.
Through her hardships Dawnna always tried to see the bright side of things. Dawnna's family and friends were the most important people in her life, especially her son Charles. Dawnna was a generous spirit who will be greatly missed.
At Dawnna's request, cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service for family and friends will be held at The Lake of the Woods Cemetery at the Trillium Columbarium on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., with Debbie Goss officiating.
In honour of Dawnna and in lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
