Duane Hager

Duane Hager – a resident of Kenora, Ontario passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 16, 2014.

He is remembered by his beloved mother Linda King, children Dustin Hager, Danielle and Raya Urnezius, mother of his children “Jessie Mama” (Jessica Collinson) and best friend “Gama” (Joan King). Duane holds a very special place in the hearts of his Aunt Cheryl King (Hal Crossley), uncles Curtis and Terry King, cousins Lana Crossley (Hayden, Karson) and Shaylynne King, as well as many other friends and relatives too numerous to mention.

He is predeceased by his father Duane Wendall Hager, aunt Diane King and special friend uncle Mac Morrison.

Duane was born in Kenora and lived life to the fullest. He loved playing guitar and greatly enjoyed riding and working on anything that had a motor or engine, whether it was quads, dirt bikes, boats, snow machines or nice cars. He was often seen “flogging a mega deadly roost” on any one of these.

Duane is well known by all in Kenora for his one of a kind sense of humour, nicknames he gave people that stuck, priceless one-liners but mostly his extremely huge heart. He never passed up an opportunity to help his family, his friends, kids or anyone in need. Duane was a very devoted and loving father, and will be sorrowly missed . He also had a great love for animals, especially cats often taking in strays.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 7:00 -9:00pm at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 11:00 am at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre with a luncheon to follow at Jubilee Church.
