April 9th, 1939 to October 22nd, 2010
It is with much sorrow we announce the passing of Duncan on Friday October 22nd, 2010 at The Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
Beloved husband and friend of Blanche (nee Pert) for 49 Years. Devoted son of the late Patrick and Laura McMillan of Thunder Bay. Dearest father to Myles and Kim, Cynthia and Murray (who father has joined on the otherside). Laurie and Paul (Jake), Duncan Jr. and Angela, William and Robyn. Most treasured Grandfather to Dee Dee, Joshua, Connor, Sarah, Alicia and Calista. Survived by brother Arthur and wife Millie McMillan, Brother Ken and wife Dale McMillan of Thunder Bay. Joining beloved sister Leona Mousseau in the forever after.
Duncan will be remembered for his achievements as master electrician, master fisherman and master B.S.’er.
To all who knew Duncan, they will remember him as a hard, strong man with the biggest of hearts. A man who believed in doing what should be done today and never left it till tomorrow. A man who never would leave someone stranded, hungry, or cold, who opened his home to all he met. It would be Duncan's wish that all who knew him will not mourn his passing, but celebrate his life through fond memories. It was his wish to spend the hereafter in a boat fishing. Hopefully his son-in-law Mooney and Grandpa Jack have the boat ready.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October, 29, 2010 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
All are invited Saturday October the 30th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Norte Dame Roman Catolic Church, 222 1st St. N. Kenora, Ontario where a funeral service will be held to celebrate his life.
