It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Evelyn Cederlund on November 30, 2012 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital.

Evelyn was born January 17, 1928 in Kenora, Ontario and was a lifetime resident of Lakeside.

She was predeceased by her parents, her two brothers, two sisters and two infant siblings.

Evelyn is survived by her husband Jack of 58 years, her daughter Susan (Brent), her cousins Merrill (Betty), Del (Ella), Myron (Ollie), Sheldon (Lil), sister-in-law Betty (Walter) Klym of B.C., brother-in-law Orville (Madeline) Millings of Manitoba, godchild Katy Thompson, and many good neighbours and friends.

She knew and loved the Lord and was an active member of the Lakeside Baptist Church all of her life. She thoroughly enjoyed corresponding with the church missionaries when they were on missions.

Evelyn loved her Thursday afternoon craft group with her friends at the New Horizons Centre. She was a beautiful knitter and was very generous with her delicious baked goods.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Lakeside Baptist Church, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Alan Rundel officiating.

Luncheon to be held at the Lakeside Baptist Church, followed by interment at the Lake of the Woods Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Evelyn’s memory to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation or Pinecrest Home for the Aged.
