Fridolf “Fred” Leroy Nelson January 23, 1947 - March 4, 2020
It is with heavy hearts the family of Fred Nelson announce his sudden passing on March 4, 2020. Those who are left to cherish his memory are his beloved children, Fridolf Jr. (Yvette), Fabian (Jena), Justin (Melissa) and Sabrina (Cabral); his loving grandchildren, Candice (John), Chelsie (Stephen), Alysa (Jake), Breanna, Che, Zion, Aleshia, Brittania, Kyle, and Jessica; his proud great grandchildren, Teagan, Adrianna, Elania, Avery and Chloe; his siblings, Christine (Nick), Clarence (Barbara), Beatrice (Saul), Leslie (Deanna), Hilding (Lucile), Lorraine (Wilf) and Geraldine (Hilding). Fred was predeceased by his loving parents Emanuel and Myrtle Nelson; and his beloved grandchild Rachel.
Fred was the son of Swedish Scottish and Irish immigrants, he was born and raised in Bergland, Ontario. He was a successful tradesman and drywaller, succeeding in everything he did. Fred had dreams, goals and lived his best life. His biggest passion was collecting guns which he started at the age of fifteen. Traveling across the country to hit every gun show was something he loved to do. Fred treasured his family and made a point to stop at each and every relatives home on his travels, he is also known to go to any and all yard sales or auctions in his vicinity.
For over a decade Fred has talked about building his dream home which he finally started but sadly will not be able to finish. Fred will be dearly missed by everyone who had the opportunity to meet him.
To honor Fred's memory a Celebration of his life will take place at his dream home, 236 East Melick Road on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to assist with funeral cost would be greatly appreciated.
