It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Loranger, born January 26, 1954, in Kenora, Ontario, who departed this world on November 30, 2024. Gary lived a full and vibrant life, characterized by his dedication, humor, and unyielding love for those he cherished.
For 18 dedicated years, Gary proudly served as an employee at Tim Hortons, where he became a familiar face and a friendly presence to all who visited. His commitment to providing warmth and joy extended beyond his workplace; Gary was a passionate supporter of all Ontario sports and carried a love for bowling, honing his skills as an avid 5-pin bowler alongside his good friend Randy.
Gary was born and raised in Kenora, the place he called home until his final days. He found solace and camaraderie with his family, especially during his cherished Monday breakfasts, where laughter echoed around the table. His unique sense of humor will be deeply missed, not just at these gatherings, but throughout all the lives he touched.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his siblings Terry, Sharonne, Paulette (Jeff), Glen, Louis (Tracy), Bruce (Sheri), Shaun, Shane, and Shawna, along with numerous nieces and nephews who held him dear. Gary’s spirit will continue to live on through the love and memories shared with both family and friends.
As we bid farewell to a remarkable brother, uncle, and friend, we will carry forward his legacy of humor and joy, and we invite all who knew him to hold a memory of Gary close. His love for life, his infectious laughter, and his unwavering support will forever resonate in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for kindness and love to be shared in Gary’s honor, whether through a kind word or a smile to a stranger—a reflection of the joyful spirit Gary embodied.
