Janet Scott

She was predeceased the following family members; great great grandparents Mary & Mike Beardy, Melvina & Norbert Michaud. Great grandmothers Ruth Henry and Melvina Michaud. Grandmothers Dellorraine McDonald and Janet Michaud (Scott). Grandfather Paul Scott. Her aunt Angela Fraser. Uncle, Christopher McDonald, her niece Wisdom Foster, first cousin Mario Fisher.

Janet's date of birth was September 19, 1988 and she was born in Wabaseemoong First Nation with the help of Eliza Fisher and Audrey Mandamin.

Before Janet passed away, she enjoyed spending her time with her uncle Too-pot watching movies in his shack. She also loved painting in her alone time. Before Janet had her children, she was on the powwow trail with her late grandmother Dellorraine. Janet placed in many competitive powwows, as well as being her kookum's jingle dress/fancy shawl champion. Many looked up to Janet while she was in the Circle.

At the young age of 32, Janet was survived by her five children, John Jr, Jeonni, Tessa, Della & Joaquin. As well as her parents, Darren (Rebecca) Emily (Jason) and Grandpa Dan. She will be greatly missed by her siblings, Christine, Raymond, Jolene, Scarlet (Anthony), Joanne (Scotty), Northwind (Kristen), Serenity, Darian, Darren, Glenna, Gage, Gabe, Glen & Thomas. She was blessed with nieces she enjoyed calling each a Princess, Kyra, Ode'min-aunnakwat, Tiana, Jenna, Gianna, Nyla & Leah. She loved her nephews as well; Wyndom, Leo, Miskwaabiimizh, Koda, Aaron, Zachary, Jackson, Giiwedin, Animikii, Raine, & Shayden. Janet was loved incredibly by her Aunts Julia (Kevin), Shirley (Larry), Deanna (Greg), Shannon, Carolyn (Quincy) & Tiffany (Murphy) Uncles Grant (Beatrice), Jari, Danny, Frank. Her first cousins, Samuel, Adele, Lara, Gennita, Christopher, Fabian, Nicholas, Grant Jr, Marlen, Amelia, Allyssa, Mason, Daylyn, Danae, Dasean, Gregor, Greysin, Jazmyn, Hailee, Christina, Chelsea, Jody, Christopher, Exavius, who will all miss her tremendously, including all her cousins which were too numerous to mention.

Wake service will be begin on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Mizhakiiwetung Memorial School Gymnasium at 1:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Mizhakiiwetung Memorial School Gymnasium at 11:00 am with burial to follow.
