Joey Steven Icton

July 2, 1980 - Aug 31, 2012

It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, grandson, nephew, father & friend, who passed away in the late evening on Aug 31, 2012 at the young age of 32.

Joey is lovingly remembered and will be forever cherished by his best friend and mother Margaret, his younger sisters Ashley & Danielle, his nephew Carter, his Grandma Lorraine, his Aunty Gail (Stan), Uncle(s) Jim (Madeline), Barry (Kristin), friend Bob, his son Austin (Sam) and cousins Crystal, Marvin, Sonya, Kevin, Dominique and Jenny and best bud Chris Spence… And many friends and loved ones that Joey passed by everyday.

He is predeceased by his Great Grandpa Allen Landry, Great Grandma Irene Landry, Grandpa Steve Berze and Sister Jennifer.

Joey, the oldest of 4, was born in the beautiful small town of Sioux Lookout, ON on a lovely summer’s day. He spent most of his younger years with his Grandpa Steve at camp, hunting, fishing and enjoying the great outdoors. Joey got his first moose with his Grandpa Steve, such an exciting moment for him it was. If he wasn’t hunting or fishing, he was busy crafting and building anything and everything.

At the age of 11, our family relocated to Kenora, ON where he spent the remainder of his life and called it home.

Joey was a smart, kind, loving man with a heart of gold and had many talents. He loved his family very much and wanted the best for them. We will miss his big brown eyes, contagious laugh and loving smile.

A celebration of life was held on Friday Sept 7, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre.
