Jonathan Sean Keewatin, a resident of Kenora, Ontario, passed away November 3, 2017 in Kenora, Ontario, band member of Grassy Narrows.

Jonathan was predeceased by baby sister Rebecca Francine Keewatin, mother and father Norma Christine Keewatin, Jonathan Payash, grandparents Julia Keewatin, Willy Keewatin, Margret Necanapenace, Alex Necanapenace, aunts and uncles Lorraine Payash, Penny Payash, Vicky Payash, Bernie Kokopenace, Margret Payash, John Louis Strong (uncle), David Necanapenace and Murphy Necanapenace, cousins Monica Payash, Hector Land Jr, Hank Keewatin and Murphy Necanapenace Jr.

He is survived by his daughter Lakiya Jamieson Keewatin, Rachel Lynn Keewatin, Vivian Dawn Keewatin, niece and nephews Alexandra, Dante, Carma, Dawn, Monique, Zach, Erin, Migiisi, Dawson, Julian, Carter, Julia, aunties and uncles, Sandra Necanapenace, Beatrice Keewatin, Keon Fobister, Myra Necanapenace, Linda Necanapenace, Ivan Poull, Bernie Payash, Molly, Sarah, June, Leo Strong, cousins, Anita, Chris, Merrill, Keon Jr., Savanna, Alanda, Evander, Sean, James, Brittany, Tina Roxy, Aaron Doull, Randy, Judy, Sally, April, Sonny, Nicky, Sophie, Albert, Gilliam, Zena, Ricky, Riley, Ana, Troy, Stephanie, Steven, Bella, Reggie, best friends Dean Savoyard & Dale Savoyard, Tyler Fox, Calvin Fraser (deceased), many family and friends too many to mention.

My brother was born in Kenora, Ontario at the local hospital, where in the surrounding areas has taken up roots and has moved to and from all surrounding areas but for the most part chose Kenora as his home. He was raised in care since very young. His hobbies were drawing. (Jon has a very unique and bold style when it comes to art).

He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family, enjoyed telling stories and jokes, making others laugh.

Wake Service will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. at the Minnow Say Win Building in Grassy Narrows, Ontario.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Minnow Say Win Building in Grassy Narrows with interment to follow.
