It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home on May 29, 2015 at 9:05 pm with her children and family by her side.

Mary Jane Scott was predeceased by her parents Jessie McDonald, Cornelius McDonald, husband, Cornelius Scott (Masinaikijk), children Patricia, Gary, Jessie, Linda Kent, Debora and Rhonda Scott, sisters Eliza McDonald and Jane McDonald, brother David McDonald, son-in-laws Ernie Loranger, Rex McDonald, grandchildren Eric, Gary, Leroy, Shauna, Crystal, Orval, Karen, Ryan, James and Samantha.

She also leaves to mourn her sister Margaret Quewezance, daughters Geraldine Scott, Mary Jane McDonald (Tonto), Valerie, Sandra (Tom), Joyce, Emily and only son James Scott (Linda), numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mary Jane Scott loved working at the school as a janitor which she worked for 25 years and she loved to sew and make her own outfits. She enjoyed blueberry picking, going to church and singing. She also enjoyed cooking and getting visits from her grandchildren, great grandchildren and she loved teasing them.

A Celebration of Life will be held at her daughter’s place Valerie Fisher on June 1, 2015.

Burial Service will take place at Wabaseemoong First Nation Cemetery on June 4, 2015.

The family would like to thank the staff at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home, Dr. Bowerman and Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre.
