March 31, 1948-April 18, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear father, grandfather and Uncle Robert Max Anderson Sr., on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora, Ontario.

Robert was predeceased by his loving wife Alice Anderson, sons Edward and Walter, parents Edgar and Flora Anderson, sisters Josephine, Irene and brothers William, James and Loren.

Robert will be deeply missed by his family. His sons Robert Jr., (Sarah), Thomas (Elizabeth) his daughter Roberta, grandchildren Alexis, Joshua, Hannah, his sisters Grace, Mary, Judy, godson Benjiman and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Robert was a kind hearted and humble person. He spent most of his life working with MNR Fire Crews, construction and fisherman’s guide. He had a love for spending time in the woods trapping and hunting in the MInaki and Kenora area. He was a good provider for his family. He enjoyed going for walks with his beloved wife Alice and caring for their property.

Wake Service will be held at the Minaki Community Hall on April 20, 2017 starting at noon.

Funeral Service will also be at the Minaki Community Hall on April 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Frank Kowal officiating.
