It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Gray on April 20, 2018. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife of 59 years Sammy Gray in 2014. He is survived by his two sisters Betty and Irene and their families. He also leaves behind his 3 children Sandy (Susan), Glenn and Janice (Tim) Routledge. As well as his 4 grandchildren Daniel and Megan Gray and Tyler and Teagan Routledge.

Work brought Bob and his family to Kenora in 1973 and after many moves across western and northern Canada they decided to make Kenora their home.

Aside from work and family, Bob was a life long volunteer. He belonged to many of Kenora’s service clubs and organizations and was a part of number of boards and committees. At times, he seemed to be his own “one man committee” with Bob always busy getting the job done.

After retirement in 1998, he especially enjoyed his winters in Arizona and summers at the family camp on Tannis Lake. Special thanks to Dr. Bowerman for his long term care and the wonderful people of Grand View Villa for their kindness and care with Dad during his illness. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice in Bob’s name. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at Knox United Church on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 1:30 pm.
