Forever and Always, My Heart is Yours
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of 51 yr old Steve Louis Tetreault who passed on August 15, 2021 after a lengthy struggle with illness. Left to mourn are Steve’s best friend and wife Melanie Kolisnik, along with stepchildren Jayson Philipchuk and Jaxyn Kolisnik, predeceased
by Logan Philipchuk.
Steve is survived by children Dalton and Cloe Tetreault and predeceased by parents Louis and Jessie Tetreault. He will be missed by siblings Nellie Halverson, Marie Morden, predeceased by Marina Meeks.
Steve was born in Beaudet, USA and grew up in Rainy River. Steve later moved to Kenora where he served his entire career as a Constable with the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police.
Learning what he knew from his father, Steve excelled in carpentry and for many years owned/operated a marine lift/construction business.
In August 2012 Steve united with his long time friend, Melanie Kolisnik, and together they shared 9 happy years. Steve and Mel spent many summers camping at Medicine Lake and winters vacationing in Jamaica.
Steve loved the outdoors and spent much of the fall season hunting and fishing with his father (predeceased) and closest friends Brian Purdy and Bob King. Steve had the biggest heart, always giving what he could to those in need or lending an ear to anyone who needed a friend. Steve will be remembered with love and honour by all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
