Kathryn Ann Killham (Brothers)

Kathryn A. Killham, 85, of Dix, died at the Kimball County Manor on Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Kimball Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Virgil Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Dix Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Friends may visit www.cantrellfh.com to view the obituary and leave condolences for the family. Memorials may be given to the family. The services for Kathryn have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home of Kimball.

Kathryn Ann Killham was born in Sidney on December 18, 1927, the daughter of Floyd and Hilda(Pieron) Brothers. She was raised in Dix and graduated from the Dix High School in 1945. She attended Kearney State Teachers College. While at Kearney she was a member of Sigma Theta Phi Sorority. Kathryn was married to George Vene Killham in Denver, Colorado on July 27, 1948. She raised her family in the Dix community. She worked as a Nebraska Certified School Bus Driving Instructor, she also drove a school bus for the Potter/ Dix Schools for many years. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, American Legion Auxillary and the Dix Bible Church.

Survivors include her daughters Holly (Marc) Wittstruck of Crete, NE., and Kim (Chuck) Christensen of Kimball, NE; brother Wes ( Sharon Ann) Brothers of Gillett, WY; sister Sharon (Ralph) Anderson of Kearney, NE; grandchildren Lisa (Tracey) Loefelholz, Alex and Katlyn, John (Jennifer) Childress, Madisen and Dalton, Brent (Suzie) Johnson, Melissa and Amaya, Ryan (Tiffany) Johnson, Trajan, Kyle (Laura) Johnson, Raven and Matthew, Lindsay (Patrick) Eisenmenger, Easton and Barrett, Stephanie (Kyle) Hemje, Titus, Mallory (fiancé Austin Moore), Alexa (Andrew) Holsing; step granddaughters Megan and Kelsey Christensen; brother –in-law John Neil Killham of Texas; sister=in-law Connie Brehm of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Georgia Childress and grandson Chad Arthur Wittstruck.
