Barbara A. Daniels

Barbara was born on March 9, 1936, in Bronx, New York, to James Cameron Phifer and Agnes Rita (McNally) Phifer. She married Robert Allen Daniels, of Fife Lake on July 3, 1964, in Bayside, Queens, New York. Barb and Bob moved back to Michigan in 1964 and raised their family in Kingsley, for 23 years. Barb was primarily a homemaker and Bob retired from the Department of Corrections after 25 years of service. In 1989, they moved to Fife Lake to be closer to family.

Barb enjoyed her family, gardening, and the wildlife of Northern Michigan, especially the birds she kept in ample seed. Her cat, Boots, also mourns her loss. Mom will be missed.

Barb is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bob Daniels; daughters, Rita Daniels of Fife Lake and Susan (Michele) Daniels of Phoenix Arizona; 6 grandchildren, Kayla Ann Thompson of Fife Lake, Rebekah Rose Wrasse, Michael Robert Daniels, Kristina Marie Daniels, Jessica Anne Daniels, all of Phoenix, and Ember Pearl Poole of Fife Lake; 2 great grandchildren, Jazmyna Sue Wrasse and Gabriel Joseph Daniels; sister Betty (Robert) Smith of Lewisville, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, James C. Phifer in January 1973 and Agnes Phifer in April 1998; son, Robert Allen Daniels, JR. in February 2001; and her in-laws, Robert F. Daniels in July 1985 and Pearl Ann (Ely) Daniels in July 2004, both of Fife Lake.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 1 to 3 pm at American Legion; 10283 M-186; Fife Lake.
