

KINGSLEY – Constance R. Dudley, 75, of Kingsley passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011. Connie was born on May 31, 1936, in Buckley, the daughter of Neil and Dorothy (Douglas) Guernsey. After graduating from Buckley School and Ferris State University, she married her loving husband Alvin L. Dudley on February 22, 1958. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1994. During her life, she held positions in the family plumbing business, local bank and accounting office but her life was best devoted to her family and friends.
Connie was a wonderful cook and hosted all of the family birthday parties and holiday’s. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to be with them. She also enjoyed working on her puzzles and flowers when she wasn’t busy talking to her sisters on the telephone. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
Connie is survived by her children, Melanie Sedlacek of Kingsley and Terry (Margie) Dudley of Traverse City, grandchildren Ashley (Jake) Hawkins, Ken Sedlacek, Tom Sedlacek, David Dudley and Shelby Dudley, great grandchildren McKaila and Brookelynn Hacker and Madison Hawkins, and sister Marilyn Byers. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses at Palliative Care Services.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister Elaine Olds.
Visitation will be held Wednesday Aug 10th from 5 to 8 pm at Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 pm Thursday, Aug, 11 at the funeral home.
