

Ruth married Charlie Stevens on June 26, 1993. Together they owned and operated Lookout Bar in Walton Junction for several years. Ruth worked as a teacher’s aid for TBA at Cherry Knoll Annex and retired after 20 years of dedicated service. In her spare time, she opened her home to care for foster children and the elderly. She kept a beautiful flower garden, and was well known in the community.
Ruth is survived by her husband Charlie, daughters Teina (Rick) Cain, and Jody (Paul) Zemsta, stepchildren Kevin (Michelle) Stevens, Lori (Rick) Souza, Linda Anderson, Lisa (Elliott) Poger, and Charlie (April) Stevens, grandchildren Tonya, Jamie (Shawn), and Alex (Jordan), 12 Step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, siblings Susan Morgan, Mick (Freda) Houghton, and Joann Bembeneck, foster child Luci (Steve) Stauffer, and brother-in-law Charlie Frye. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband George E. Morgan in 1979, daughter Tonya, and sisters Rosie Shearer, Nancy Frye, and Peggy Knight.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley from 11am to 2pm, with the funeral service starting at 2pm.
