Al McCoy, Jr., age 89, passed to eternity on Saturday, August 24, 2013. Born in West Virginia, Al was a long time Kingsport resident who founded McCoy’s Salvage Grocery business with his sons. He was a member of the Kingsport Masonic Lodge #688 and a Marine World War II veteran. He was known for his brilliant business mind and smile that could light up a room. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean and son Kenny. Al’s loves were his daughter, Donna Smith and sons Chris, Kenny and Jamie, along with his eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. McCoy will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. The family will receive guests from 4:00 p.m. until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Kingsport Masonic Lodge #688, P.O.
