

Bernie Jack Osborne, age 85 of Blountville, entered into the gates of Heaven during the afternoon hours of March 15, 2016. Jack was born to the late Conrad and Maxine Taylor Osborne on July 7, 1930 in Scott County, VA. On August 26, 1961, Jack married his best friend and love of his life, Nancy Bond, and after 54 years of a beautiful marriage, she survives. Jack bravely served his country for 23 years in the United States Air Force.
Jack loved his family and spending time with them. He loved reading, sports and tinkering around with electronics. He was a very inspirational person and a committed husband and father. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mary Edith Dillard; and one brother-in-law, David Dillard. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Nancy Osborne; one son, Bernie Bond Osborne and wife Elizabeth; one daughter, Beth Perry and husband Robert; one brother, Kent Osborne and wife Jean; two sisters, Beth Goff and husband John, and Peggy McGlothlin and husband Bob; six grandchildren, Evelyn, Byron, Autumn, Robert, Abigail, and Rebecca; and three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Killian, and Charlotte.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. immediately following visitation in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Brother David Dotson officiating. There will be a Graveside Service with Military Honors on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Gunning’s Cemetery in Blountville. Military Honors will be provided by Rolling Thunder, Inc. Chapter 4 Tennessee. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jack’s grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Adams Chapel United Methodist Church located at 486 Adams Chapel Rd, Blountville, TN 37617.
