

Bud Brooks, age 74, entered into rest May 9, 2013 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Bud was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. Bud was the founder of Brooks Excavating. He was a member of Orebank Baptist Church and Westview Baptist Church. Bud’s hobbies included hunting and racing. He loved his hunting buddies, his extended racing family and his friends at Hardee’s. He had served in the National Guard. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Jessee Earl and Henrietta Coleman Brooks, his wife Ruby, brother, Joe Brooks. Survivors include four sons, Zane Brooks and wife Theresa, Henry Brooks, Eddie Crawford, Rob Henderson and wife Joy; daughter, Lakieta Henry; seven grandchildren, Zane Lee, Corey and wife Amber, Johnny, Austin, Serena Dingus and husband David, Kris, Sydney; eight great-grandchildren, Alissa, Daniel, Benjamin, Lucas, Zach, Nicholas, Marcus, Kylie; two sisters, Rosemary Mutter of Kingsport, Wynona Francisco of Lakeland, FL; several special nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2013 at East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. The family would like to thank the staff of Amedysis Home Health Care.
