Carl Junior Maness

Carl Junior Maness, 92, went to be with Lord during the early morning hours of Sunday (March 20, 2016). Carl was born February 10, 1924 to the late Hicklen & Ollie Maness in Inman, VA. Carl was a member of Blountville Christian Church for almost 70 years. He was a member of the Pipe Fitters Union Local 538 since 1946. Carl unselfishly served our country during WWII. Carl loved the Lord, his family, and his country. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brother, George Ramey; and sister, Dorothy Ann Rhoten. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Myrtle “Madeline” Lynch Maness; son, Ronnie Maness & wife Carol Ann; daughter, Linda Eads & husband Mack; two grandchildren, Rocky Maness & wife Brandie, and April Huff; special friend, Allen Blaylock; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday (March 22, 2016) from 5 to 7 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Dwight Shaffer officiating. Committal services will be held Wednesday (March 23, 2016) at 1:00 p.m. in the Garden of Apostles at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
