Christopher Duane Mount

Christopher Duane Mount, age 62, of Kingsport, passed from this earthly life into an eternal life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Chris was born to the late Duane Mount and the late Elizabeth Combs Mount on March 12, 1961 in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Chris was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and child of God. He was a member of First Baptist Church Kingsport and had previously worshiped at both Harmony Presbyterian Church and Arcadia Presbyterian Church.

Chris graduated from Ketron High School and East Tennessee State University. He was known throughout the Bloomingdale community for having worked at the Master’s Place bookstore for many years.

Chris will be remembered for his cheerful attitude and kind heart. After his father died, he lovingly cared for his mother until her passing.

Chris is preceded in death by his parents and special aunt and uncle Maria and Stanley Still. He is survived by his brother, Stephen (Pamela) Mount; niece Sarah Mount; nephew Tucker Mount, all of Florence, South Carolina; and special aunt and uncle Betsy and Daniel Hardin of Knoxville, Tennessee.

His family will receive friends Friday, February 2, 2024 at East Lawn Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A celebration of Chris's life will follow at 2:00 and burial afterwards in East Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Danny Silvey officiating.
