

Cynthia Louise Dawn, 95, entered into the Heavenly Kingdom on Wednesday evening (February 17, 2016). Cynthia was born on April 4, 1920 to the late William C & Mary Elizabeth (Cavin) Dawn in Hawkins County. Cynthia married Robert Lee Dawn in 1942, and after 58 years of marriage, he preceded her in death in 2000. Cynthia enjoyed working in her garden with her flowers. She was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church, where her late husband, Robert Lee Dawn, served as a Deacon. In addition to her parents and loving husband, Cynthia was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Lee Dawn; six brothers; and four sisters. Cynthia is survived by her loving son, Gary Dawn & wife Kathy; two grandchildren, Melissa Sokol & husband Clint and Todd Dawn; one great-grandchild, Lucas Sokol; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday (February 21, 2016) from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. David Dotson officiating. A private graveside service will be held following the funeral service in the Garden of Devotion at East Lawn Memorial Park, Kingsport, Tennessee.
