Donna Lee Riggs

Donna was a free spirited, adventure seeking individual. She loved living her life and taking family vacations. She enjoyed politics, as she was an avid Democrat, and she found solace in reading her favorite books. Donna was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Brent; daughter, Paula Riggs; sister, Marsha Way and husband Dean; two nephews, Josh Russell and Mitch Way; niece, DeAnna Way; and her special Shih-Tzu, Charlie. The family would like to give a very special “Thank You” to Donna’s caretakers, DeAnna Way and Suzanne Clemons; and also to Stacie Robinson, RN and Rosanna Hammonds, of Amedisys Hospice.

There will be a Celebration Service of Donna’s life on Sunday, August 7, 2016 in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, located at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and/or Second Harvest Food Bank, located at 1020 Jericho Dr., Kingsport, TN 37663.
