“Dottie” Dorothy M. Singleton

Dorothy “Dottie” Singleton, age 87 of Gray passed away at her home Thursday, May 26, 2011 after a period of declining health.

Dottie was born June 15, 1923 in Nanty Glo, PA, a daughter of the late George Edward Winning and Delsie Velva Markie Winning. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Claire Winning, Dick Winning and George Winning. Dotty was retired from Holston Valley Medical Center where she worked as a LPN. She is a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son, William T. Singleton, Jr. and wife Anne, Seattle, WA., daughters, Karen K. Penix and husband Keith and Patti J. Salyers all of Gray.

Grandchildren, Nathan and David Singleton, Jimmy Fraysier and Kevin Fraysier, Bryce and Brac Salyers. Great-grandchildren, Alli Fraysier.

Sister, Katherine Myers, Warren Mich., brother-in-law, Dewey Singleton, Abingdon, VA. Several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday May 30, 2011 12:00-2:00 PM. at East Lawn Funeral Home funeral services to follow in the chapel with Dr. Greg Burton officiating Interment will be East Lawn Memorial Park Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Keith Penix, Tom Singleton Jr.
