He was a graduate of East High School, where he played sports and often made MVP. After graduation, he attended Tennessee Technical College and served with the US Navy. Douglas especially enjoyed playing golf with his dad. He loved his family. Douglas attended Emmanuel Baptist Church while growing up.
Douglas is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Dawn Fleenor and his sister, Angela Kaye Gilliam.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Shaina Taylor and husband Nathan and Amber Manley; parents, Joyce and Lloyd Fleenor; sister, Sandra Tate; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to family members, for their kindness and support in this time of difficulty.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at East Lawn Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Gary Garland officiating.
Douglas will be laid to rest on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 1:00 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Chapel of Memories.
