Edna Faye Greene

Edna Faye Greene, 71, entered into eternal rest during the early morning hours of Monday (October 16, 2017) surrounded by her loving family. Edna was born on April 16, 1946 to the late Eugene & Ruth Alice (Smith) Williams in Kingsport, TN.

Edna enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family and friends. Edna was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend; she will be greatly missed by all.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her infant son, Jackie Benton; brother, Lewis Williams; sisters, Annette Williams and Doris Dial; grandson, Preston Benton; and special son-in-law, Billy Hood.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Jerry Greene; daughters, Janice Breeding and Christine Hood; brother, Elmer Williams; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday (October 18, 2017) from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Vern Hall and Pastor Gerald Doutt, Jr. officiating.

Committal services will be held on Thursday (October 19, 2017) at 3:00 p.m. in the Garden of Faith at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
