

Sylvia Gaye Neeley of Kingsport, TN went home to be with the Lord on June 24 th . She was born to the late William Cam and Bessie Tucker. Gaye will be greatly missed, but we rejoice in knowing she is now with Christ.
Gaye had a heart for serving. She made sure those around her felt loved and cared for no matter the circumstance. She faithfully volunteered by cooking for Meals on Wheels, cooking for members of her church Calvary Baptist, and teaching children during Bible School. She was giving of her time, whether it be sitting with people in the hospital or crocheting hats for babies in the NICU. Gaye loved the Lord, and
it showed through her devotion to serving and loving others so well. Gaye especially loved her family. She was married close to fifty years to her wonderful husband Joe, and they are now reunited for eternity.
Along with her parents, Gaye was preceded in death by her loving husband Joe, her siblings R.H. and Virginia Tucker, Jack and Nina Tucker, Patricia and Shell Arnold, William Carroll Tucker, nephews Patrick Arnold, William Tucker, Jr., and Michael Morris, and her Godson Jamison Housewright
Survivors include nieces: Linda and Robert Tucker-Knowles, Cathy and Robert Berg, Patricia and Daniel McNeill, Jacqueline and Brian Porretto, and Elizabeth and Paul Westfallen, Rebecca Ann and Michael Morris (deceased), Amy Arnold, Christine Tucker, Kim, Jenny, and Jason; sister-in-law Thelma Mann, and her husband Bill, Kim, Jenny, and Jason, and by great nieces and nephews: Sarah, Shelley, Alex, Alexis, Gina, Nicole, Michael, Lauren, Barbara, Robert, Jr., Eric, Nicholas, Nina, Lily, William (Liam), Avery, Bennett, Gracie, and Patrick; as well as several great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
Also left to cherish Gaye’s memory are Robin and Greg Holt and God-daughter Ashlee Jackson, and her husband Jonathan, and great-Godchildren: Trent, Eli, Abby, Ezra, Abe, Hensely, Makenna, and Anna.
A special thanks to Gaye’s wonderful friends, Wayne and Judy Seal and their son Michael and daughter Kristy, Linda McIver and Jim Arrington, Renee Queen, Janice Ham, Barbara Shuler, as well as many others.
Also, the family would like to thank Calvary Baptist for being such a big part of Gaye's life and all the love she held for them.
The Neeley family will honor Gaye's life with an Inurnment Service on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 1 pm in the Garden of Everlasting Life I.
