Hazel Shaffer

Hazel Rhea Shaffer age 77, Piney Flats passed away Tuesday June 28, 2011 in Greystone Health Care Center . She was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and a member of Walkers Mountain Baptist Church Bristol, Va.

Mrs. Shaffer was preceded in death by her parents Milburn and Grace Rhea; her husband Bobby Shaffer 2002; Sisters Carrie Neal and Edith Hale; Brothers Clyde and Howard Rhea .

Survivors include her daughter Regina and husband Joe Chitwood Blountville, Tn.; sons Randy and wife Agnes Shaffer Piney Flats; Robby and wife Wilma Shaffer Blountville, Tn.; Sisters Helen Copas and Ruth Rhea. Grandchildren Kasey Chitwood, Travis Shaffer, Stacy Shaffer and Tracy Shaffer; Great Grandchildren Milburn Shaffer, Jonah Shaffer, Joel Shaffer and Lane Shaffer; Special Friends Aileen Rhea and her Mailman Bob Burton.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM. Thursday at East Lawn Funeral Home Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 AM. Friday at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens with Pastor Billy Denton officiating a special Prayer will be given by Brandon Canter.
