He was preceded in death by his parents: James H. and Rose E. Collins; his first wife: Nida Mae Hamblen Collins and second wife: Inez Neill Collins; In-laws: Paul and Beulah Hamblen; 5 brothers; one sister and his son: David E. Collins.
Hicks is survived by his son: Daniel S. Collins (fiance' Helen Stallard); granddaughter: Kaycee Collins; sister: Susie Hyder and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Malcolm Stallard, Charles Hyder, C.J. Hyder, Joe Haynie, Austin Hyder, and Wayne Simpson
Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 16, 2024 from 12 Noon until 1:30 PM at East Lawn Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Wayne Baker officiating.
