Jerry Allen Joyner

Jerry Allen Joyner, age 65 of Kingsport passed away April 29, 2010 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Jerry was born March 20, 1945 in Kingsport to the late Marshall R. and Claudia Riley Joyner. He has resided in Kingsport all his life. Jerry was a United States Navy Veteran and retired from Domtar of Kingsport after 30 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Betty Joyner. Children, Gary Joyner and wife Stacey, Kingsport. Kenneth Joyner and wife Brenda, Fall Branch, and Christy Faust and husband Tracy, Kingsport. Grandchildren, Kristin Joyner, Hayden Joyner, Amber Meeks, Tiffany Meeks, Ashley Meeks, Joseph Meeks, Kirstie Faust. Brothers, David Joyner and Curtis and Beth Joyner both of Kingsport. Several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM in the chapel with Pastor Miles Baines, officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, May 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM in East Lawn Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Everett Willis, Tracy Faust, Brandon Joyner, Ben Joyner and Beau Joyner.
