Jewell Dean Bellamy, a devoted and faithful woman, passed away on November 23, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on October 19, 1930, in Kingsport, Tennessee, Jewell lived a life marked by her strong faith and commitment to her family and community.
Jewell was a dedicated mother who modeled her faith in God to all she met. A patient prayer warrior, she waited nearly 35 years to become a mother. Her son, James Christopher "Chris" Price, was her pride and joy, and she cherished her role as a mother and grandmother.
Jewell had a passion for writing poetry about her faith in God and her experiences growing up in Northeast Tennessee. Her work was published in two notable publications, "The American Poet Volume 3" and "A Living History of East Tennessee: Moonshine and Mountaintops." She also had a love for flowers, which brought her much joy.
In her community, Jewell was very active in multiple prayer groups and played a significant role in mentoring within women's groups at her church. Her dedication to her faith and her community left a lasting impact on those who knew her.
Jewell will always be remembered for her strong faith and love of her family. Her legacy will continue through her son, Chris and his wife Kim, her grandsons, Nathan (Brookly) Price and Devan (Emma) Price, and her great-granddaughters, Evie Raye Price and Riley Marie Price. She is also survived by her brother, Eddie Crawford, several nieces and nephews, and her special friends, Alisa Dunn and Gloria Dean.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Wexford House and Amedisys Hospice Care for the excellent care they provided to Jewell.
