Joan I. Barrett was born on June 21, 1924 in Kingsport, TN. She passed from this earthly life on Sunday (November 4, 2018). Preceding her in death was her husband of 57 years, John Barrett, Jr.

Surviving her are her three children, Sandra Wilson, John H. Barrett III & wife Sandy, and Sherry Fuller & husband Luther; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a devoted member of Sunnyside Baptist Church and was a faithful church goer all of her life.

The family will receive friends at Sunnyside Baptist Church Tuesday (November 6, 2018) from 6 to 7 p.m.

Funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at Sunnyside Baptist Church with Pastor Roy Graves officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Sunnyside Baptist Church c/o building fund (406 Cooks Valley Road Kingsport, TN 37664).
