Juanita H Moody

of Kingsport, TN, entered into rest on Saturday,August 11, 2012 at Indian Path Medical Center. She was a Sullivan County native, and was born on July 21, 1917 to Samuel J. and Virginia Purdy Myers.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Niles Moody in 2002, step mother, Golda H. Myers, sister, Cleo Harr, and brothers: Roy and Ralph Myers; daughter-in-law, Nancy Moody.

Survivors include her daughter, Nilene Carpenter and husband Tommy, three sons: Ron Moody, Niles W. Moody, Jr. and wife JoAnn, Allen Moody and wife Mary; sister, Martha Myers; grandchildren: Denise Reynolds and husband Kevin, Eric Moody and wife Tammy, David Moody and wife Jolee, Chris Carpenter, Carole Rutrough and husband Matt, Teresa Lipps, Valerie Watterson and husband Andy; 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Monroe Herring, officiating. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Emory United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons. Everyone is asked to assemble at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m. for the service.
