Judy Carolyn Lane

Judy C. Lane, age 70 of Kingsport, was taken into the arms of Jesus during the morning hours of Friday, May 27, 2016. Judy was born to Mr. Frank Hilary Johnson and the late Mrs. Louise Stapleton Johnson on November 24, 1945 in Sullivan County, TN. On June 29, 2001 Judy married her precious friend, and love of her life, Mr. Jim Lane; and after 14years of a wonderful marriage together, he survives.

Judy was a beautiful woman, both inside and out. She was a God fearing and loving mother, wife and friend. Her smile would light up the darkest of rooms and her loving spirit shown forth in every aspect of her life. She loved animals, decorating, and exploring new ideas; and she was smart and unafraid to speak her mind. She loved beautiful things but didn’t spend lots of money to have what she liked. All who knew her will never forget her unselfish character and kindness to others. May God hold her; from now to eternity. Her family and friends will miss her with heavy hearts until the day comes that they will be reunited with her in Heaven.

Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Louise Stapleton Johnson. Judy is survived by her husband, Jim Lane; one daughter, Kim Gossett; two sons, Kevin Davidson and wife Pam, and Brian Davidson and wife Robin Hale; six grandchildren, Ashley Porter, Kelsey Davidson, Madelline Davidson, Brooklyn Davidson, Tyler Davidson, and Will Davidson; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Stewart, and Jax Wampler; father, Frank Hilary Johnson; and many loving friends. The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to the nurses and staff at Smokey Mountain Hospice of Kingsport.

A memorial service for Judy will be Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm in the Chapel at East Lawn Funeral Home and will be officiated by Pastor Mike Driver.
