Linda Jean Spears, age 76 of Kingsport, entered into the arms of Jesus Christ during the afternoon hours of Monday, April 30, 2018. Linda was born on June 30, 1941 in Kingsport, TN to Fred and Dorothy Snapp. Linda worked as an Administrative Assistant for John Deere Healthcare for 20 plus years and she was the pianist for Clouds Bend United Methodist Church for the last 20 plus years. On July 23, 2014, Linda married Gary Spears and after four years of a beautiful marriage together, he survives.
Linda was a woman who truly loved her Heavenly Father and her family. She was a devout Christian, wife, mother and friend. Her family and church family were her life. From playing the piano since the age of 10, she used that talent to glorify God. Every note that she played, she played with a loving heart; and those notes of love will resonate in the hearts of those who love her.
Linda was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Jeter; and her parents.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Gary; sons, Geoffrey Jeter and wife Kelly, Chris Jeter and wife Kristi, and Scott Jeter and wife Kim; daughter, Lisa Poore and husband Bobby; step-daughters, Cynthia Christian and husband Michael, and Yvette Spears; brother; Phil Snapp and wife Sandi; sisters, Faye Kern and husband Tom, Jill Carter and husband Harry, and Tamera Kunselman and husband Brett; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family members, church family and friends.
The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to Sara Beth, Ruby, and Rachel from Mtn. States Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital: 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 www.stjude.org.
